Xinhua, February 23, 2017 Adjust font size:

Chan Hao-Ching of Chinese Taipei and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan toppled the top seeds Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic of France 7-5, 3-6 and 10-3 in the quarterfinals of the 17th WTA Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Tennis Championships 2017 here on Thursday.

After the tough match which lasted for one hour and 26 minutes, the 23-year-old doubles specialist Chan could bring home her 13th WTA doubles title if she and Shvedova win the DDF Tennis Championships final on Saturday.

For Dubai resident Mladenovic, who moved to the Gulf Arab emirate at the end of 2015, it was her second defeat this week after she lost to China's Wang Qiang in the round of 16 of the women's singles on Wednesday.

Last year, the French duo lost the final to Chuang Chia-jung from Chinese Taipei and Darija Jurak from Croatia. Endit
