Japan dominates women's alpine skiing giant slalom at Asiad

Xinhua, February 23, 2017 Adjust font size:

Japan was unstoppable in snow events at the eighth Asian Winter Games, sweeping top three rankings of the women's alpine skiing giant slalom here on Thursday.

Emi Hasegawa finished in two minutes 21.58 seconds after two runs, bringing host the gold medal. Her teammate Asa Ando and Mio Arai took second and third respectively, but South Korea's Kang Young-Seo claimed a lucky bronze as the Olympic Council of Asia doesn't allow a clean sweep of the podium by the same delegation.

Japan also won the men's giant slalom on Wednesday. Endit
