Eleven U.S. Jewish Community Centers (JCC) across the country have been threatened with bomb attacks within this week, according to figures by JCC Association.
All the threats were proved to be false alarms after thorough investigation. A total of 69 false bomb threats have been tallied in North America since the beginning of this year, across 27 states in the United States and one province in Canada.
"We are concerned about the anti-Semitism behind these threats, and the repetition of threats intended to interfere with day-to-day life," said David Posner, the director of strategic performance at the JCC Association of North America, in an emailed statement.
Furthermore, about 170 Jewish graves in a Missouri cemetery were damaged over the weekend, according to the Washington Post.
U.S. President Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, tweeted Monday night to condemn the threats: "America is a nation built on the principle of religious tolerance. We must protect our houses of worship & religious centers."
