China finish third at at Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships

China ranked third at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships which concluded on Sunday in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, while Japan beat South Korea 3-0 in the finals.

In the men's doubles, Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda from Japan defeated South Korean duo Kim Gi-jung and Yoo Yeon-seong 2-0 with the scores of 21-16 and 21-16.

In the women's singles, Akane Yamaguchi from Japan downed South Korean rival Sung Ji-hyun 22-20, 23-21.

In the men's singles, Kenta Nishimoto had a lopsided victory of 2-0 over South Korean player Jeon Jin-hyeok, winning 21-13, 21-16.

The tournament attracted shuttlers from Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong of China, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, India and Singapore. Endit
