The following are news items in Kenya's major media outlets on Sunday.

-- Kenya's ruling Jubilee and opposition alliance face new headache as political parties prepare to submit their nomination rules to the electoral commission starting Monday. In the opposition National Super Alliance, there are fears of a fall-out as parties within the coalition fight amongst themselves for various posts while Jubilee is grappling with how to conduct its primaries in a way that would curb divisions among aspirants.

In both political outfits, suspicions over fair nominations have led to aspirants in the past weeks defecting to smaller parties to reach the ballot. (Sunday Nation)

-- A belief that Kenya is wealthy has fanned a wave of labor disputes with lecturers staying out of colleges for over a month and doctors from hospitals for nearly three months.
