Dortmund win, Bayern drop points in German Bundesliga

Dortmund eased 3-0 past Wolfsburg meanwhile Robert Lewandowski's injury-time equalizer secured Bayern Munich a 1-1 at Berlin in the 21st round of Bundesliga action on Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways as an own goal from Wolfsburg's Jeffrey Bruma cleared the way for the 3-0 victory on home soil.

The "BVB" assumed control seconds after the starting whistle as Marc Bartra and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came close in the opening period.

Despite a number of chances for Dortmund, it was Wolfsburg's Jeffrey Bruma who broke the deadlock after heading a clearance into the wrong goal with 19 minutes into the game.

The hosts should have added another goal to their lead but Ousmane Dembele squandered a promising opportunity in the 26th minute.

The "Wolves" nearly punished Dortmund's wastefulness seconds before the break but Yunus Malli missed the target just wide following Vierinha's build-up play.

Dortmund ensured a bright start after the restart as Lukasz Piszczek nodded home Dembele's cross into the box with three minutes into the second half.

Thomas Tuchel's men were not done with the scoring and tripled the advantage through Dembele, who headed home Piszczek's cross to put the result beyond doubt in the 60th minute.

With the result, Dortmund jumped to the 3rd place while Wolfsburg stay on the 14th position.

Bayern Munich dropped points atop the standings as they played out a late 1-1 draw at Berlin.

Hertha Berlin staged a powerful performance against Carlo Ancelotti's men, who were unable to gain a foothold into the game.

Hence, Berlin's efforts paid off with 22 minutes into the encounter as Vedad Ibisevic tapped in Marvin Plattenhardt's cross to the near post.

Werder Bremen wrapped up a 2-0 win on the road at Mainz as Serge Gnarby and Thomas Delaney provided the first-half goals.

Substitute Andrej Kramaric donated a second-half brace that helped Hoffenheim to beat last-placed Darmstadt 2-0 on home soil and Hamburg shared the spoils with Freiburg following a two-all draw.
