China lose at Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships semifinals in Vietnam

China lost 1-3 to Japan in semifinals of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships on Saturday in Vietnam' s Ho Chi Minh City.

In the mixed doubles, Chen Qingchen and Zhang Nan from China defeated Japanese duo Higashino Arisa and Watanabe Yuta.

The next match between Chinese man Shi Yuqi and his Japanese rival Nishimoto Kenta ended in favor of the Japanese player.

In the men's doubles, Li Junhui and Zheng Siwei from China lost to Japanese duo Kamura Takeshi and Sonoda Keigo.

In the women's singles, Chinese player Chen Yufei was downed by her Japanese opponent Yamaguchi Akane.

The finals will take place on Sunday. Endit
