The following are news highlights in major Kenyan media outlets on Saturday.

-- President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga are free to campaign for the presidency in the August elections even before the official date reaches, the electoral commission has said.

The agency boss said there is no law that stops any politician from campaigning and that the commission has no powers to stop aspirants though election timeline shows campaigns should start after June 28. Most politicians have started campaigns five months to the poll. (Saturday Nation)
