British FTSE 100 rose 0.47 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.47 percent, or 33.85 points, to 7,302.41 points.

Share price of Ashtead Group increased by 2.52 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Standard Chartered, Royal Bank of Scotland Group, BHP Billiton and Barclays increased by 2.39 percent, 2.07 percent, 2.01 percent and 1.70 percent respectively.

TUI led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.23 percent, following by Capita (3.70 percent), Next (2.68 percent), Dixons Carphone (2.62 percent) and Marks & Spencer Group (1.75 percent). Endit
