Manchester City Women sign FIFA World Player Lloyd

Manchester City Women have signed World Cup-winner and FIFA World Player of the Year Carli Lloyd for the 2017 Spring Series.

The 34-year-old US midfielder will stay in the English champions until June 3 when the season ends.

Lloyd, who has scored 96 goals in 232 international appearances, including a 13-minute hat-trick in the 2015 World Cup final, is the third American player to move to an English club this winter, after winger Crystal Dunn's move to Chelsea Ladies and midfielder Heather O'Reilly's switch to Arsenal.
