Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.59 pct on Wednesday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.59 percent and closed at 4,924.86 points on Wednesday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Wednesday, up 29.04 points, with 28 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers were CREDIT AGRICOLE, up 4.76 percent, AIR LIQUIDE, up 3.07 percent, and SAFRAN, up 2.88 percent.

The three companies whose stock dropped most were RENAULT, down 1.47 percent, KERING, down 1.16 percent, and PEUGEOT, down 0.85 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained by 0.16 percent to close at 4,895.82 points on Tuesday, up 7.63 points. Endit
