Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.16 pct

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.16 percent and closed at 4,895.82 points on Tuesday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Tuesday, up 7.63 points, with 23 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers were Peugeot, up 4.32 percent, Renault, up 3.06 percent, and Michelin, up 1.68 percent.

The three companies of which stock prices dropped most were Pernod Ricard, down 1.51 percent, Danone, down 1.02 percent, and Vivendi, down 0.78 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained by 1.24 percent to close at 4,888.19 points on Monday, up 59.87 points. Endit
