China's producer price rises 6.9 pct in January

China's producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 6.9 percent year on year in January, official data showed Tuesday.

The growth pace quickened from the reading of 5.5 percent registered in December 2016, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Endi
