British FTSE 100 up 0.28 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday rose by 0.28 percent, or 20.17 points, to 7,278.92 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 4.21 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Rio Tinto, Glencore, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Babcock International Group increased by 3.00 percent, 2.56 percent, 2.49 percent and 2.27 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.38 percent, following by Fresnillo (1.99 percent), Direct Line Insurance Group (1.98 percent), Marks & Spencer Group (1.96 percent) and Paddy Power Betfair (1.61 percent). Endit
