Turkey keen on investment in Iran's auto industry

Xinhua, February 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

Turkey is very much interested in investing in Iran's auto industry, a Turkish trade official said here on Sunday, according to semi-official Fars news agency.

"Ankara is not only seeking to put up its products for sale in Iran, but is keen on making investment in the country," Chairman of Turkey's Association of Automotive Parts and Components Manufacturers Alper Kanca said on Sunday.

Turkish and Iranian companies are competing in some areas of auto industry, and this is pivotal in making progress, said Kanca on the sidelines of the 4th Iran Automotive Industry International Conference (IAIIC) currently underway in capital Tehran.

Focusing on sales and aftersales services, IAIIC kicked off in Tehran on Sunday with the participation of 400 foreign companies, from the countries including France, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, South Korea and China. Endit
