More residential buildings, dwellings built in Bulgaria in Q4

The number of newly-built residential buildings and dwellings in Bulgaria increased respectively by 0.3 percent and 22.8 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2016, official data showed on Friday.

According to preliminary data of the country's National Statistical Institute (NSI), the number of newly built residential buildings was 634 and newly built dwellings among them numbered 2,451.

Highest was the number of residential buildings built in the Black Sea districts of Varna and Burgas, followed by Plovdiv District in southern Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, the total useful space of newly built dwellings was 212,900 square meters or 10.7 percent more compared to the same quarter of 2015, as the living floor space increased by 17.3 percent and reached 133,200 square meters, statistics showed. Endit
