Singapore stocks close 0.66 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 20.43 points, or 0.66 percent, to close at 3,100.39.

A total of 3.27 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.75 billion Singapore dollars (1.23 billion U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 328 to 161, while 590 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 13.43 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 3,079.96 on Thursday. Enditem
