Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.26 pct

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.26 percent and closed at 4,766.60 points on Wednesday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed up on Wednesday, up 12.13 points, with 25 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers were Vinci, up 4.68 percent, Veolia Environnement, up 3.60 percent, and Danone, up 2.38 percent.

The three companies of which the stock prices dropped most were Credit Agricole, down 2.27 percent, Societe Generale, down 2.07 percent, and BNP Paribas, down 1.91 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40, lost 0.49 pc and closed at 4,754.47 points on Tuesday,down 23.61 points. Endit
