Chinese shares close higher Wednesday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.44 percent at 3,166.98 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.74 percent higher at 10,130.2. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, rose 0.77 percent to close at 1,903.63. Endi
