Spanish stock market falls 1.11 pct, closes at 9,357 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.11 percent on Monday to close at 9,357.30 points, down from the 9,462.70 points of Friday.

On Monday session, Bankia shares led falls losing 3.52 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Banco Sabadell, Caixabank, Banco Santander and Bankinter that lost 2.64 percent, 2.34 percent, 2.31 percent, 2.12 percent and 2.10 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Tecnicas Reunidas shares led rises climbing 1.29 percent, followed by Grifols, R.E.C., Viscofan and Merlin that rose 0.67 percent, 0.15 percent, 0.05 percent and 0.05 percent respectively.

Spain's risk premium closed at 130 points, up from the 122 of Friday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.72 percent, up from the 1.67 percent of Friday. Endit
