Iran will counteract the fresh U.S. sanctions imposed against some Iranian and non-Iranian entities under the pretext of being linked with Iran's missile program, Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

PARIS -- A machete-wielding man who on Friday attacked soldiers near Louvre Museum and was shot, was an Egyptian national who arrived in France from Dubai at the end of January, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said at a press conference on Friday evening.
