Yuliya Galysheva from Kazakhstan claimed the third Universiade title of her career here on Friday when she won the women's dual moguls at the 28th Winter Universiade.
Galysheva, fresh from her victory in the single moguls on Thursday, easily passed through the dual moguls qualification round. Her performace in the final convinced the judges and she beat Russian Elizaveta Bezgodova 17-8 for her second gold on home soil. Katharina Ramsauer from Austria grabbed the bronze medal.
The 24-year-old Galysheva was born in Ust-Kamenogorsk. She captured her first Universiade gold in 2015 in single moguls. She was also the bronze medalist at the 2015 world championship.
"The hill was quite challenging. My main rival was Bezgodova. She was in good shape and made me do my best. It is hard to win in any competition. I wouldn't say this victory was different to any others. I am happy I became a three-time Universiade Champion," said Galysheva. Endit
