Chinese shares close lower Friday

Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.6 percent at 3,140.17 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.47 percent lower at 10,004.84 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.5 percent to close at 1,876.76 points. Endi
