French stock market index increases 0.96 pct Wednesday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, increased 0.96 percent and closed at 4,794.58 points on Wednesday.

The CAC 40 of Paris gained on Wednesday 45.68 points, with more than two thirds of the 40 selected companies experiencing an increase.

The greatest gainer was shared by Schneider Electronic and Technipfmc, both up 3.26 percent.

The three companies of which the stock prices dropped the most were Essilor Intl, down 1.85 percent, Veolia Environn, down 1.65 percent, and Engie, down 1.63 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.75 percent. Enditem
