Croatian industrial output increases record high last month

Croatia's industrial production rose by 14.9 percent in December 2016, compared with the same period the previous year, the national statistical office (DZS) said on Monday.

It was the 23rd consecutive month up and a record increase since 2001, it said.

The production of durable consumer goods increased by 46.6 percent, followed by a 23.9-percent growth in energy production, it added.

Earlier, the international rating agencies Standard & Poor's and Fitch upgraded their outlook on the Croatian economy from negative to stable, considering its improvement in industry, export and tourism sections. Endit
