Seven people were injured in a landmine explosion that hit a restaurant in Middle Shabelle region of southern Somalia on Monday, police said.
Police officer Abdifitah Abukar told Xinhua that among the wounded were two soldiers who were at the restaurant in Burane village at the time of the explosion. (Somali-Explosion)

PARIS -- A 17-year-old high school student was stabbed to death Monday in front of a high school in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, and the perpetrator would be on the run, French television channel BFMTV reported Monday.
The high school student was "assaulted near his establishment in the Rue Ligner", by a "group of young people," the channel said, citing police sources.
The victim was stabbed to death on the spot, the channel added, quoting the same sources. (France-Assault)

KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia -- The owner and two crew members of the boat carrying Chinese tourists that went missing off Malaysia's Sabah state were arrested to facilitate investigation, police said Monday.

ISTANBUL -- A total of 270 suspects went on trial on Monday in Turkey's western city of Izmir over their alleged roles in a failed coup in July last year, local media reported.
