Xinhua, January 28, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Estonian Post on Saturday issued the postage stamp of 2017, the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Local customers were seen buying the stamps of the Year of the Rooster and the postmarked First Day Covers (FDCs), sending them out of Estonia to Australia, the United States and China among others.

This year's stamp is the seventh of the series starting from 2011, and is dedicated to the Year of the Rooster which begins on Jan. 28.

Chinese astrology has 12 animal figures and the rooster is the 10th in the series, representing trust and accuracy in the Chinese culture because it wakes up people in time. Endit
