Singapore stocks close 0.43 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.07 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 3,064.85.

A total of 865.8 million shares changed hands with turnover of 585.3 million Singapore dollars (410.2 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 172 to 144, while 781 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 11.84 points, or 0.39 percent, to close at 3,051.78 on Thursday. Enditem
