U.S. stocks waver narrowly amid data, earnings

U.S. stocks end mixed Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average eclipsing previous day's closing record, as investors digested a batch of economic data as well as corporate earnings reports.

The Dow rose 0.16 percent, and the S&P 500 fell 0.07 percent, while the Nasdaq edged down 0.02 percent. Enditem
