Yang Zhenchao, former vice governor of east China's Anhui Province, and Zheng Yuzhuo, former senior legislator of northeast China's Liaoning Province, have been prosecuted for graft, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said Thursday.

Yang was indicted by local prosecutors in Shanghai, and is accused of taking advantage of his posts to seek benefits for others, illegally accepting money and property, and illegally possessing public property.

He is also accused of abusing his power while he served as the Party chief of Huainan city in Anhui, resulting in great losses of state property, according to the indictment.

Zheng was prosecuted by local prosecutors in Zibo city in east China's Shandong Province.

Zheng is accused of malpractice related to elections and illegally asking for money and property by taking advantage of his posts.

The procuratorate also announced Thursday that Yang Luyu, former mayor of Jinan, capital of Shandong, was indicted for bribery by local prosecutors in Pingdingshan city, Henan Province. Endi
