Lin to be back in 3-5 weeks

Xinhua, January 25, 2017 Adjust font size:

Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin said Monday he expected to be back to action in 3-5 weeks from his left hamstring injury.

Lin joined in a Chinese New Year celebration at the NBA store on Manhattan 5th Avenue. The Chinese Lunar New Year is on Saturday.

"My new year resolution is to be 100 percent healthy back to court," Lin said in Chinese. "I think I need another 3-5 weeks to be fully recovered."

Around 200 fans gathered in rain for Lin's autograph, which moved Lin a lot.

"I heard some fans came in at 10:00am, and now it's night. I don't know how long they have waited here. I didn't expect so many fans coming out in such bad weather," he added.

Lin, 28, injured his hamstring on December 26 and has not played since then.

"My mom is not here, so I'm going to have dinner with my friends to celebrate the new year," Lin said. Endit
