The fifth Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) is expected to take place on April 6-9 in capital Hanoi with the participation of over 600 domestic and foreign exhibitors.

Under the theme of "Hanoi, the destination of Vietnam in 2017," the mart will be attended by exhibitors from 43 Vietnamese localities as well as 25 countries and regions including India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Russia.

With some 450 booths, the VITM 2017 is estimated to attract some 60,000 person-times of visitors, reported Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People's Army) newspaper on Tuesday.

In addition to destination presentation and tourism stimulation from local exhibitors, VITM 2017 offers an extensive program to introduce Hanoi, ranging from new and special tour products, a photo contest, traditional art performances to conferences and workshops.
