Turkish president begins official visit to Mozambique

Xinhua, January 24, 2017 Adjust font size:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Mozambique on Monday for a two-day visit to strengthen bilateral ties.

Erdogan visited Mozambique with a delegation of 150 business people that hope to explore business opportunities in the African country.

On Tuesday, Erdogan will hold a meeting with Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi.

The relations between Mozambique and Turkey have continued to grow stronger since Turkey installed its embassy in Maputo in 2011.

In December last year, a meeting between the Turkish ambassador to Mozambique and the Mozambican prime minister was held in Maputo. Mozambique had already requested Turkey to send a business delegation to the country to explore business opportunities. Endit
