Madrid Fusion celebrating outstanding gastronomy

Xinhua, January 23, 2017 Adjust font size:

The 15th edition of the Madrid Fusion began here on Monday to give gastronomy fans three days to sample cuisine on offer.

Described as the "Great gastronomy festival" in the Spanish "El Mundo" newspaper, the 15th edition sees a host of events, with national and international food and wine producers showcasing their products and services in an event where visitors can not only look at, but also smell and taste.

Meanwhile, over 100 chefs from 15 countries or regions, including three-star Michelin chefs, will participate in over 70 technical demonstration and exhibitions of cooking.

The mornings at Madrid Fusion will see cookery demonstrations of international food, while the "Tasting Spain" exhibitions in the afternoon focus on the cuisine in Spain, with each chef having their demonstration limited to intense but informative 30 minutes.

All of this would come along with 24 workshops for anyone looking to follow the footsteps of the maestros.

There are also auctions to raise money for charity, as well as awards and events coinciding with the opening of the eighth edition of the Madrid Gastrofestival which sees restaurants, shops and museums all over the capital offer special menus and courses. Endit
