Hosts China beat Myanmar 2-0 in Foshan women's soccer tournament

Xinhua, January 21, 2017 Adjust font size:

Thanks to Zhang Rui's double in the second half, hosts China overcame Myanmar 2-0 in the CFA Foshan international women's football championships here on Saturday.

The 28-year-old midfielder Zhang broke the deadlock in the 49th minute after the Chinese team squandered a string of opportunities in the first half. She added another to seal the win in the 60th minute.

"I am satisfied with the young players who devoted themselves in this match. We should give them more opportunities in the future," China coach Bruno Claude Bini said at the post match press conference. Endit
