Selby and Hawkins reach masters quarters

World champion Mark Selby reached the second round of the Masters snooker tournament with a 6-5 win over Mark Williams.
Selby, ranked first in the world, made breaks of 139, 109 and 62 to lead 3-1, but Williams levelled the score at 3-3.
They won one frame apiece to make it 4-4 before Selby took the ninth frame. Williams equalied the score again but Selby made a 89 clearance to seal the victory.
The three-time winner Selby will next meet Barry Hawkins, who overpowered Shaun Murphy 6-1. Endit
