Terrorist killed in N. Afghan province: police

A terrorist has been killed by Afghan security forces during a cleanup operation in Pul-e-Khumri, capital of Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province on Tuesday, provincial police chief Noor Habib Gulbahari said Wednesday.

According to the official, the terrorist was involved in killing several people including the murder of head of Development Department of Baghlan province Mohammad Safa Sanae on Monday.

A police personnel was slightly injured in the operation, the official added.

Taliban militants who have claimed responsibility for the murder of Sanae are yet to make comment on the death of the suspected terrorist. Enditem
