"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" tops Chinese box office for second week

Disney's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" retained the Chinese box office's top spot for a second week in a close race, China Film News reported Tuesday.

"Rogue One" took in 152 million yuan (22.2 million U.S. dollars) during the week, and has grossed a total of 365 million yuan since its release on Jan. 6.

Columbia's adventure film "Passengers" landed in second after its debut in China on Jan. 13, earning 120 million yuan.

"Some Like It Hot," a domestic comedy, grabbed third place this week, raking in 117 million yuan.

"Railroad Tigers," a domestic comedy featuring Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan, came fourth with a revenue of 44 million yuan.

Rounding out the top five was "Backhom Bear: Agent 008," a domestic 3D animation, which took 41 million yuan. Endi
