Business confidence in Macedonia's construction sector up in Q4 of 2016

Xinhua, January 14, 2017 Adjust font size:

The business confidence index in Macedonia's construction sector registered an increase of 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2016, a survey published by the State Statistical Office showed on Saturday.

Most companies had an improving business outlook compared with the previous quarter, as well as with the fourth quarter of 2015, the statistical office said.

According to the survey, construction companies operating here were quite optimistic as they expected a growth of orders in the upcoming quarter.

But on the other hand, businesses operating in the sector said that they expected the number of employees to go down in the coming three months.

According to industry expectations, the prices will be reduced, while investments in machinery will remain at the same level, the survey revealed. Endit
