British FTSE 100 rises 0.62 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, rose by 0.62 percent, or 45.44 points, to 7,337.81 points on Friday.

The share price of Burberry Group went up by 3.20 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Barratt Developments, Kingfisher, Standard Chartered and International Consolidated Airlines Group increased by 2.99 percent, 2.71 percent, 2.15 percent and 1.58 percent respectively.

Hammerson led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.66 percent, following by Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.27 percent), Paddy Power Betfair (0.63 percent), United Utilities Group (0.45 percent) and Compass Group (0.41 percent). Endit
