Shandong's winning streak snapped in CBA 27th round

Ding Yanyuhang from Shandong scored a game-high 35 points but his team lost to host Tongxi 105-97 in the 27th round of the 2016-2017 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Shandong who had its winning streak snapped at seven games, led the match till the last quarter, as Jared Cunningham of Tongxi was suspended. Zaid Abbass scored time and again in the last period to pace the host to the victory.

Ike Diogu had a team-high 32 points and 22 rebounds for Tongxi, and Abbass added 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Shandong only received a combined 30 points from its foreign duo.

Guangsha beat Beijing 96-84 for the second time this season, before the match was dragged under the shadow of a scrap between Zhai Xiaochuan of Beijing and Lin Zhije of Guangsha in the last minute.

League leaders Shanghai beat Liaoning 100-96 even when Jimmer Fredette was benched for injury in the second quarter.

Elsewhere, Shanxi defeated Beikong 102-90, Bayi lost to Jiangsu 80-70, Tianjin romped over Zhejiang 131-113, Sichuan beat Shenzhen 118-111, Qingdao won over Foshan 94-85, Xinjiang stunned Guangdong 129-109, and Fujiang downed Jilin 110-106. Endit
