Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), to be held from Jan. 17 to 20, in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, according to a foreign ministry statement on Thursday.

"As Cambodia will host the World Economic Forum on ASEAN this year, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will seize the opportunity at the WEF to showcase ASEAN and promote Cambodia -- the rising star of ASEAN -- at a special session," the statement said.

It added that a short video presentation on Cambodia's preparation for the WEF on ASEAN will also be introduced.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Hun Sen will hold bilateral talks with WEF's founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab and with leaders of some countries. Endit
