Urgent: Russia begins to withdraw armed forces in Syria

Russia is reducing its military presence in Syria with the withdrawal of its aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov from the Mediterranean, said Valery Gerasimov, chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff,on Friday.

The military reduction came after Russia and Turkey brokered a nationwide ceasefire in Syria last week in a latest attempt to end nearly six years of civil war in the Middle East country. Endi
