HC Beijing Kunlun Red Star won KHL match in Bratislava

Beijing Kunlun Red Star beat Slovan Bratislava 2-1 in overtime in Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in Bratislava on Thursday night.

Tuuka Mantyla scored the game-winning goal in the 65th minute, 32 seconds before the end of the overtime.

Jonathan Chechoo, the former NHL player, opened the score by 1-0 for Slovan after 30 minutes before Red Star tied the game after 51 minutes. The shot of Martin Bakos rebounded Slovan goalkeeper Justin Pogge on the stick of Tomas Marcinko, who scored his 4th goal in the season.

The Red Star is the first Chinese ice hockey team playing in KHL. The international club is consisted of players from 9 different countries. Endit
