Chinese skiers proved to be unbeatable in the ski sprint at Deer Valley here today as Man Dandan took the first place in ladies' sprint final of China Tour de Ski Changchun stage while Zhu Mingliang snatched the gold medal in men' s event.

"We all had been trained systematically since last summer, and our coach from Czech Republic had brought the most scientific training methods to us," Dandan told Xinhua after an easy victory.

"We will be trained aboard several days later, and we didn' t set any goals for the up-coming Asian Winter Games," the 27-year-old added.

Chi Chunxue who had won a silver in 2016 Winter Youth Olympics got the second place on Tuesday. Li Xin who had topped in the first stage of China Tour de Ski was eliminated in the semi-final round, letting Sweden' s Julia Jansson become the only non-Chinese medalist.

In the men' s ski sprint, Zhu Mingliang was fastest ahead of his compatriot Shang Jincai. Winner in Changbaishan stage two days ago, Haakon Hjelstuen of Norway had to settle for the third place.

Deer Valley' s competition is the second stage of this year' s China Tour de Ski, which will see the 15th edition of Vasaloppet China on Wednesday. Endit
