Prosecutors investigate former electric enterprise chairman

Local prosecutors in Hunan Province are investigating Zhou Jianxiong, former board chairman of Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group, on suspicion of accepting bribes.

The Hunan provincial procuratorate has assigned prosecutors in the city of Loudi to investigate, said a Supreme People's Procuratorate statement Tuesday.

Zhou is under compulsory measures, a legal term that can cover arrest, detention, summons, bail pending trial or residential surveillance. Endi
