Vietnam sees state budget deficit of 8.62 bln dollars in 2016

Vietnam saw a state budget deficit of 192.2 trillion Vietnamese dong (8.62 billion U.S. dollars) as of Dec. 15, 2016, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO) on Tuesday.

The country's state budget revenue hit 943.3 trillion Vietnamese dong as of mid-December, accounting for 93 percent of the whole year's estimate, said the GSO in its yearly socio-economic statistics report.

The sale of crude oil raked in 37.7 trillion Vietnamese dong, while import-export activities brought 156.2 trillion Vietnamese dong.

Meanwhile, as of Dec. 15 last year, the country's state budget spending stood at 1,135 trillion Vietnamese dong, accounting for 89.2 percent of the yearly estimate, said GSO. (1 Vietnamese dong = 0.000044 U.S. dollar) Endit
