Portuguese gov't condemns New Year Eve attack at Istanbul nightclub

The Portuguese government on Sunday condemned the New Year Eve attack on an Istanbul nightclub that killed at least 39 people and left dozens wounded.

"The Portuguese government firmly condemns the attack which took place yesterday in Istanbul. The government expresses its solidarity with the people and the Turkish authorities and reaffirms its determination in Portugal to fight against terrorism in all forms," said a government statement.

Turkish police are still searching for the identified gunman who opened fire in the early hours at the Reina Club in Istanbul on Saturday. Endit
