Five illegal miners were killed and six others severely injured in an abandoned gold mine in western Tanzania's district of Nzega, authorities said Friday.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Authorities found the wreckage Friday morning of a small plane that went down the previous night in Western Washington state, killing all four people aboard.

TUNIS -- Tunisia welcomed the cease-fire agreement announced on Thursday by the Syrian government, part of the opposition, Russia and Turkey, said on Friday the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
