French stocks gain 0.49 pct on Friday

French stocks gained on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC40 index rising 0.49 percent to close at 4,862.31 points.

Among the 40 blue-chips, 27 gained in the day.

The top three gainers were Schneider Electric, up 1.24 percent, BNP Paribas up by 1.17 percent, and Essilor International up by 1.13 percent.

The top three losers were Nokia, down 0.98 percent, La Fargeholcim N, down 0.96 percent, and Cap Gemini, down 0.69 percent. Endit
